Response to the reply "I Can't Help It"

Just this morning, I heard a teen say, "I can't help it" in response to being asked to straighten her posture while sitting at the computer. (Can't you just see the hump-back? Eeewwwww! We all do it.)

This is the perfect example of becoming aware. You can help it. It's called making an effort to keep focused on your thoughts and what you are doing at any given moment.

Example, when sitting down to a computer, think about your posture and repeat several times: "I will sit up straight". As you sit there working/playing on the computer, your "trained brain" will catch itself slumping. You'll sit up straight!

NEVER EVER say that you cannot help it. That's lame. COME ON!

YOU are powerful. Use your powerful self to always be aware of your thoughts.

Chew on this:

Thoughts are things....those things become real...you and only you have control of them :-)

Until next time, Just BEgin to watch your thoughts.

Shine on,
Su B.

  1. Thoughts are THINGS and they do manifest. This is how we take responsibility for our actions, ourselves and let go of the lame excuses! I agree with you 100%
