"Never a failure, only a lesson."

I like Rihanna's music, particularly her first album. It's great to dance to, which opens up that side of me that brings forth pure joy.

I DVR'ed the Ellen Show one morning for I knew she was going to be a guest. It was here that I learned of her new tattoo that says, "Never a failure, only a lesson."

I pondered that for a moment. I knew what she meant by it, just coming out of an abusive relationship with Chris Brown. Then I thought about what it would mean to any teen...nothing is by accident, everything happens for a reason, so look for its meaning.

Chew on this: If something happens and you do not like its outcome, go back and think about what you could have done different to prevent it from happening that way in the first place!

ALWAYS reflect on the actions leading up to the end result, good or bad. And know that that it is OK to have things turn out in a way that is not what you wanted, how else are you going to learn? Rihanna said to Ellen, she would not change the way things happened for one second.

BEcause she is stronger for it! SHE GETS IT!!!! And she gives thanks for it.

What a magnificent lesson.

Until next time, Just Be mindful,
I love ya,

"Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right." ~Henry Ford

That has been my favorite quote for years.

You know how I keep saying in my posts "you are powerful" ?

That's what I'm talking about!!!! Just what Mr. Henry Ford, inventor of the assembly line for the automobile, so truthfully said: If you THINK negative, you'll get negative in return...if you THINK positive, you'll get positive in return.

Basically, my friends, it's the classic, what goes around, comes around. When you hear that, you probably think of only the actions you take.

Chew on This: What goes around, comes around, applies to your thoughts as well. Period. No exceptions.

So, whatever is going on up in that head of yours, is what is going to come to you in your life.

Watch your thoughts, keep them happy. Catch yourself when a negative or mean thought comes in, and cancel it. Replace it with something happy.

Seriously, it's that easy.

Until next time,
Pay close attention to your thoughts, and BElieve you can keep them positive :-)

Just Be Happy,
Su B.

Response to the reply "I Can't Help It"

Just this morning, I heard a teen say, "I can't help it" in response to being asked to straighten her posture while sitting at the computer. (Can't you just see the hump-back? Eeewwwww! We all do it.)

This is the perfect example of becoming aware. You can help it. It's called making an effort to keep focused on your thoughts and what you are doing at any given moment.

Example, when sitting down to a computer, think about your posture and repeat several times: "I will sit up straight". As you sit there working/playing on the computer, your "trained brain" will catch itself slumping. You'll sit up straight!

NEVER EVER say that you cannot help it. That's lame. COME ON!

YOU are powerful. Use your powerful self to always be aware of your thoughts.

Chew on this:

Thoughts are things....those things become real...you and only you have control of them :-)

Until next time, Just BEgin to watch your thoughts.

Su B.

And To Think That It Starts With Me...

Have you ever caught yourself being nasty? Have you felt that crappy feeling coming on and you know the next words out of your mouth are going to be mean? If you have not noticed your anger, don't you wish you could feel it coming and stop yourself?

On the flip side, how about the peaceful times...the times you are so joyful and full of love. The times when nothing bothers you and all is well.

Am I happy one second and angry the next just because??? Because there's no explanation? I simply have no control?

Chew on this: YOU ARE POWERFUL! YOU ABSOLUTELY DO HAVE CONTROL!

And guess what? Today is the day that my blog is born and we're in this together. From this day forth, I am going to blog often and dedicate my writings to YOU.

Think about the questions above. IF you can quiet your mind for two seconds and decide "yes" to listen to the real "you" inside, then you are on your way! My intention is to inspire you to ponder many things about your thoughts and emotions. Everything you say and do starts with what is going on inside your head...it all starts with you and not one other single, solitary soul...just YOU. You are going to learn to Just Be.

Until next time, Just Be cool (because you know you are).

Shine on, Su B.

Su's Take On: "Clearing Your Mind"
See yourself in front of a chalkboard full of words...
watch yourself erase them all...
make the chalkboard black-it is now clear...
those were your thoughts,
they are gone now and you are silent.
Just Be.
